At Desert Cove Recovery our Holistic addiction treatment center believes in a holistic treatment program. The program treats much more than drug and alcohol addictions. We treat you, the person. We have learned from many years of treating addiction that it is not enough to treat the body alone – we have to treat the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

Why choose Desert Cove Holistic Addiction Treatment Center?

Our holistic addiction treatment center program is set in an extended care community in Scottsdale, Arizona. The facilities are intimate, with limited availability, making this an exclusive program for those who are serious about getting help for long-term sobriety.

We take holistic addiction treatment very seriously. One cannot be expected to heal fully without addressing all the areas of one’s life that have been by affected addiction. We remove the addict from the old environment in order to show how life has to change in order to overcome addiction. We want to eliminate the connections to places, people, and things that are associated with the addiction, reduce distractions, and allow the individual to focus completely on the treatment.

Desert Cove offers a better chance for success by providing the individual with a very specific daily regimen that teaches the coping skills necessary to deal with life on life’s terms – without drugs and alcohol. Graduates of our program have the tools to begin a new life.

The Holistic Treatment Philosophy

Holistic treatment generally refers to treating the mind, body, and spirit. This involves a three-part approach that addresses physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs. Although addiction has common characteristics associated with it, we understand that each individual is unique and thus addiction treatment should be so also. Each program is therefore individualized, while still incorporating the three main components of holistic treatment.

There are many things to consider when you are searching for the right recovery program to use. The first thing that you need to think about is how you want to be treated during your recovery process. Another thing to consider is the type of facility that you want to be in. A calm and relaxed atmosphere is often the best choice for recovery as it will allow you a safe place to learn more about your addiction and calm surroundings to help you find yourself.

Holistic Drug Addiction Treatment Center

When it comes to your recovery it is important to understand that most addictions stem from other underlying conditions. It is for this reason that a holistic treatment program that considers the mind, body, and soul is often the best choice.

Desert Cove Recovery uses a holistic treatment program. The program offered here will treat much more than your drug and alcohol addiction. We believe in treating the entire person. Through many years of providing addiction treatment, the staff at Desert Cove Recovery has learned that simply treating the body is not enough. In order for recovery to work best the whole being: mind, body, and spirit, must be treated.

Often times many people think that as long as they stop using drugs and alcohol that they are recovered. However, when it comes to addiction, simply quitting is not enough as it will be very easy to go back to the drug of choice at any time. This is why holistic treatment is so important. It will help you fully understand why you became addicted to drugs or alcohol in the first place so that you can find healthier alternatives for dealing with these issues when they arise again.

As a part of our holistic treatment program, we incorporate many aspects of the 12 step program. The reason for this is because the 12 step program offers a good set of guidelines for recovery from any type of addiction, not just from alcohol.

While the 12 step program uses God throughout each of the steps, a person does not have to be religious in order to use the steps. Many people who are not religious find that the steps help them find the power within themselves in order to overcome their addiction. One aspect of the 12 steps is that you can choose to see God in whatever way that you choose.

If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, chronic relapse, or have been diagnosed with a co-occurring disorder and need help overcoming addiction and staying sober, we can help. Our holistic addiction treatment center program is focused on finding a long-term solution that will work for you. While detox and a short stay at a hospital may “cure” you for a short amount of time, coming up with a long-term solution for your drug or alcohol addiction is the healthier choice. No matter what type of addiction you may have or how long it has been going on, we can provide you with the care and tools that you need to ensure your long term success.
